Mac malware absolutely exists, it's just not as prevalent as it is on Windows or Android. Third-party security apps, like Malwarebytes for Mac, run in real time, and scan files and apps as you use them. If your antivirus doesn't like a particular app, it might prevent you from opening it.
1 Answer. I solved it by disabling add Zoom to macOS menu bar in Zoom's settings. The question now is why do apps have the right to launch themselves even when I didn't let them via any of the settings. Or why does adding to a menubar launch the app. Zoom doesn't act like this for me.
